what to expect

How we worship

Jesus said “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24). We have the privilege and honor of knowing truth and having God’s Spirit in our lives, and that comes out in our worship.

Whether that be clapping, singing, or raising our hands, we are celebrating something and Someone so good it moves us. And if you would only come to know how good it really is, we promise it’ll move you too.

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” — Psalm 34:8

How we teach

We teach like we are getting ready for Monday…Tuesday, Wednesday, and so on. It’s not just a Sunday message, it’s an everyday message that is useful throughout the entirety of your life. Everything we teach is based scripturally (from the Bible), and we do the best we can to present God’s word in the clearest way possible.

However, we are not here to flatter you with wise sayings and emotional stories. Our goal is to share the word of God in such a way that it comes alive and becomes demonstrated. The word of God is living (Hebrews 4:12).

“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” — 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

How we grow

We grow by loving God, loving His people, and loving His word. Jesus said the two greatest commands are to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength…And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Mark 12:28-31). The process of growing and being changed come under the umbrella of these two commandments. And when we love and come to adore His word and not this world, we become “transformed by the renewing of [our] mind, that [we] may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Let’s grow in the Lord together!

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:24-25
